Additionally, the limited innovation in digital imagery and the shortcomings of hyperlink-based tools hindered engagement and commerce opportunities, particularly in the realm of sports properties. SPAT Media envisioned creating interactive advertisements that offer more engaging experiences and new revenue streams. To realize this vision, they partnered with Codewave to develop a technology that would revolutionize digital images.
The digital imagery landscape faced challenges due to a lack of innovation and limited monetization opportunities. Photographers often received inadequate attribution and royalty transparency, and traditional hyperlink-based tools failed to generate meaningful engagement or affiliate commerce. SPAT Media recognized that sports properties and other digital image assets were being underutilized, missing the potential for deeper interaction and commerce. Codewave developed an innovative solution that transforms static images into interactive advertisements. Key features of the solution included:
Interactive Image Technology: Users can upload any image and draw objects on top of it. These objects become interactive segments that are revealed when a user clicks on the image, offering a dynamic and engaging experience.
AI and Computer Vision Integration: Leveraging AI/ML technologies and computer vision tools like OpenCV and TensorFlow, along with the "Segment Anything" model, the platform can intelligently segment images and enhance interactivity.
