Abbaqus

Description

Abbaqus was envisioned by a research scientist and independent inventor from ISRO as a private networking platform specifically designed for the scientific community. The goal was to create a secure and exclusive space where research scientists could publish papers, gain visibility, and track citations for their work. The platform aimed to function as a private club, akin to LinkedIn, tailored for research purposes, with features that promote interaction, collaboration, and recognition among scientists. Codewave was tasked with developing this innovative platform.

Challenge

Research scientists often struggle to find a dedicated online platform that caters to their specific needs for publishing work, gaining visibility, and tracking citations. Existing platforms do not offer a focused and private networking environment for researchers to share their findings and build professional connections. There was a need for an exclusive, scalable platform that would facilitate the sharing of research papers and provide tools for networking, while also being adaptable for use by colleges, government organizations, and other research entities.

Solutions

Codewave developed Abbaqus, a comprehensive social networking platform tailored for research scientists. Key features of the solution included:

Research Paper Publishing: The platform allows scientists to publish their research papers and journals, providing an avenue to gain visibility and track citations within an exclusive community.

Algorithmic Newsfeed: Abbaqus features an algorithm-driven newsfeed that displays the most engaged, recent, and popular content within user circles, promoting interaction and engagement with relevant research.

Profile Views and Connections: Similar to LinkedIn, users can view profiles and send connection invitations, enabling networking and collaboration among research scientists, academics, and students.

Scalability: The platform was built with scalability in mind, making it suitable for use by colleges, government organizations, and various research institutions, ensuring wide adoption.

User-Friendly UX/UI Design: The design focuses on ease of navigation and engagement, fostering a collaborative environment where users can easily share and interact with research content.

Impact

Enhanced Visibility for Researchers: Abbaqus provided a dedicated platform for research scientists to publish their work and gain recognition, enhancing their visibility within the scientific community.

Improved Networking Opportunities: By functioning as a private network similar to LinkedIn, the platform enabled scientists to build professional connections and collaborate on research projects.

Engagement with Relevant Content: The algorithmic newsfeed ensured that users were engaged with the most relevant and popular research, fostering a more active and interactive community.

Scalability and Adaptability: Designed to be scalable, Abbaqus could be adopted by various institutions, including colleges and government organizations, broadening its impact on the scientific community.

Fostering Collaboration: The platform facilitated a collaborative environment, encouraging scientists, academics, and students to share knowledge, discuss research, and contribute to scientific advancements.

Through the development of Abbaqus, Codewave successfully created a unique and tailored platform that empowers research scientists by providing a private, collaborative space to publish, share, and gain recognition for their work, fostering a more connected and engaged scientific community.
