APCOA: Parking Management Software

APCOA had numerous technical project needs, including Fleet management solutions, Parking administration dashboards, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) solutions. To bring their vision to reality, the organization was looking for a reliable and recognized software development partner capable of constructing these systems through a diverse range of cutting-edge technologies.

The focus was on establishing a collaborative and strategic partnership to guarantee the smooth integration of these solutions, in line with APCOA's overall objectives and technological ambitions.

APCOA aimed to maintain its position as a leader in parking management software solutions and improve operational efficiency by partnering with a qualified software development company.

As part of our partnership, we developed internal administration dashboards that were designed to improve APCOA's smart parking management systems and increase customer happiness. For the Retail Management Application, we developed functionalities like:

• Choosing parking slots in Retail dashboard;
• Adding, editing, deleting cars or adding them to the whitelist;
• Viewing the analytics;
• Adding or removing fines for the cars.

After finishing the first project, we also received other project requests from APCOA. One of them was about developing Azure AD roles and permissions management application, which is a multi-user system with the functionality of assigning roles and permissions.

The Milies team was also trusted to work on an IoT solution using Azure MQTT to manage parking doors:

• VM (virtual machine) development with Azure;
• Door opener system with QR code scanning;
• MQTT connection to the door opening device;
• Front-end development of a web page to fill in car license plate information.

Additionally, we worked on the APCOA Flow application, which is a contactless safe parking system without a ticket, cash, and stress. We delivered services like:

• Parking with license plate recognition, working with the latest scanner technology with a detection rate of > 99.5%;
• Ticketless system; the barrier opens fully automatically;
• In-app payment integration;
• Management of 200 parking garages.

Milies also played a crucial role in the successful development of an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Management Dashboard and a user-friendly mobile application designed to make the parking experience easy for Norwegian customers.
