Kidiyo: E-Learning Mobile App Modernization

Cyfrania was approached to address issues with the Kidiyo app, which was undergoing rebranding to teach children about environmental care through playful content. The app needed a transition to Unity for better performance and new features, including:

• Redesigning the main menu to an interactive game world map.
• Adding new mini-games.
• Preserving child progress.
• Implementing a subscription model.

Additionally, the app faced removal from the Play Store due to noncompliance with Google's privacy policy.

We created a scalable app architecture and rebuilt the original app using Unity, improving the interface, visuals, and gaming experience. The first updated version was released for Android and iOS within 1.5 months. Key enhancements included:

• Interactive main menu map.
• Updated visual style for characters and mini-games.
• Enhanced game mechanics and effects.
• New mini-game for each character.
• Simplified registration for parents.
• Compliance with Apple and Google privacy policies.

The modernization brought significant benefits:

• Cost-effective development: Rebuilt and revamped by two developers in five months, with the first release in 1.5 months.
