This move highlights the increasing use of AI in recruitment and how it may be a powerful tool
LinkedIn has announced that it is expanding its use of generative AI assistants on its platform.
The AI-powered writing suggestions will be initially offered to LinkedIn users to improve their profiles and to recruiters writing job descriptions. The tool identifies the essential skills and experiences to highlight and crafts suggestions to make the profile stand out.
The AI will also generate suggested job descriptions for recruiters to review and edit, saving them time and effort while still giving them the flexibility to customize the post to their needs. These tools aim to save time for users and to keep profiles more up-to-date, but there are concerns that relying on AI may not give an accurate representation of the person being recruited or the company.
This move highlights the increasing use of AI in recruitment and how it may be a powerful tool, but not always for the best.
A LinkedIn spokesperson said that this is just the beginning, and the company will continue to leverage generative AI to explore new ways to bring value to its members and customers.
