After months of speculations and ongoing rumors, Instagram has finally added an exciting feature to its world-renowned photo-sharing platform. Instagram has officially added GIF support to the stories feature. There is a host of the exciting GIF that users can add over the stories right from thousands of moving stickers. The GIPHY integration to the platform has made it all possible for Instagram to roll out such an exciting feature for the global users. The stickers can either be applied to the photos or the videos as per the wish of the users.

Besides the recent GIPHY integration, Instagram is all set to roll out another exciting feature for its users. The feature will allow users to add photos and videos as stories of any size. This will bypass the need of cropping the stories in 9:16 format that Instagram currently allows. This will be one major advancement for the photo-sharing application in order to give a direct shot to Snapchat.
The GIF stickers are available for both Android and iOS on version 29 of the application. The addition of GIF in the stories seems to be a welcoming option for millennials who love to post everything they do in their lives. Instagram has 4.2 million users aged 12 to 17 while Snapchat has four times of that. And, with this current move, Instagram is all set to enrich its users’ base.
