Book movie tickets just by command of your voice.
Google has joined forces with Fandango to offer movie ticket buys from Google Assistant. To purchase tickets, simply say "purchase tickets," or you can state, "Hello Google, get me tickets for..." with the name of the movie you need to see. In case you are not sure about the movie, just say, "showtimes close me," and it will raise a choice of movies playing near you. Furthermore, if you want to know details about a particular movie, such as the trailer or the star cast, just say "who stars in it?" or "demonstrate to me the trailer."
Lilian Rincon, Product Management Director, Google Assistant said, “Fandango is synonymous with moviegoing innovation and was the perfect fit as we look to make it easier for people to get things done in their everyday lives with help from the Google Assistant. The launch couldn’t come at a better time as we head into a very exciting summer movie season packed with movies for everyone.”
Fandango is an American ticketing company that sells movie tickets via their website and mobile app. As of late, the company also added movie showtimes and audits to their search results. The deal is going live on May fourth and one can book tickets in advance for Solo: A Star Wars Story.
“At Fandango, we’ve built ticketing innovations for a wide variety of mobile, social, AI bot and voice-activated platforms, so we can super-serve moviegoers at scale, wherever and whenever they are thinking about and planning a trip to the movies,” said Fandango president Paul Yanover. “We’re thrilled to be working with Google once again, bringing movie discovery and ticketing capabilities to users on the Google Assistant, and giving them access to the widest choice of theatres from their living room or while on the go.”
Google Assistant enables you to make the buy without downloading the Fandango application. Once you've made a theatre and session determination, you can likewise pick your seats. The Fandango Action on Google Assistant enables customers to buy tickets from 30,000 screens across the nation.
Until further notice, this dispatch is only for Google Assistant on Android phones. Fandango has also added other digital payment options like Google Pay and payments via debit and credit cards.
