Tinder recently rolled out a new feature called ‘Matchmaker’ that lets users’ friends and family to approve the matches.
If you or your friends have been using Tinder to find the ideal partner online, then you might have also handed over its responsibility to a trusted one. It is a common phenomenon to hand over your phone to your friends or family to swipe on the profiles on your behalf. But now, Tinder has officially launched a feature that allows users’ friends and family to do the same task on their own phones.

The new feature has been launched in 15 countries so far, including India, UK, and the USA. The feature will become available for more countries soon.
What's In It?
With Matchmaker, you can send a potential match’s profile with up to 15 friends and family members to scrutinize. They get 24 hours to share their feedback, rejection, or approval. The members can access these profiles and make necessary recommendations without having a Tinder account or app on their phones.
Is There A Disadvantage?
In terms of security, experts have raised a concern regarding the privacy protection of users on the app. Firstly, spreading the personal details supposed to be available only to official Tinder users makes their data externally shareable without monitoring. Secondly, the users who access these profiles can spread them unofficially without any tracking, namely, by taking screenshots.
If Tinder has planned a new feature, it must have updated its privacy policy which is already one of the most secure in the world. Considering how Tinder users can simply hand over their phone without anyone noticing, can get them judged or swiped on their behalf, and see all the personal details, the Mitigate might be an effective tool to mitigate this behavior.
