Elon Musk reveals his Master Plan during Tesla's Investor Day 2023, outlining the company's ambitious goals of achieving a sustainable energy economy
Tesla's Investor Day 2023 held in Austin, Texas unveiled CEO Elon Musk's vision for the company's future, which he called Master Plan part 3.
The plan aims to establish a sustainable energy economy by developing 240 terraWatt hours (TWH) of energy storage and 30 TWH of renewable power generation, requiring an estimated $10 trillion investment, which is less than half of what is currently spent on the internal combustion economy.
Musk believes that a sustainable energy economy is within reach and can be accelerated. He also stated that all cars will go fully electric and autonomous, with the exception of rockets. The Cybertruck was announced to arrive later this year, and the company teased a new video featuring the Tesla Robot walking independently.
Although there was no live demonstration of the same, Musk expects that the company's robots will become so successful that they may soon outnumber humans. The plan also involves electrifying aircraft and ships. According to Musk, a detailed whitepaper with calculations and assumptions will be released via Twitter during the event.
