YouTube is experimenting with a new AI feature powered by Gemini to help content creators brainstorm better on the platform.
YouTube is experimenting continuously with new AI features to enhance user experience and empower content creators by providing brainstorming and ideation support. YouTube has been home to some of the greatest creators, with some reaching hundreds of millions in subscriber count.
The advent of AI has pushed many creators to seek support for creative ideation from external platforms, and Google is working actively to minimize that through AI-powered tools across its service offerings. According to a recent video posted on YouTube’s official Creator Insider channel, the tech giant is experimenting with an AI-powered brainstorming feature to eliminate the need to visit other AI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropics, and Perplexity, among others.
The rolled-out AI test feature will be powered by Google’s flagship AI model, Gemini, and will help creators brainstorm video ideas, titles, and thumbnails to attract more users and gain viewership faster.
The experiment is being conducted among select content creators with a limited slot allocation. The results will identify risks, feasibility, and other factors to decide whether to roll out the feature to a broader audience. The growing strictness among global regulatory bodies has strictened the testing process for all tech giants.
It is logical for YouTube to provide Gemini’s support on its platform, which can significantly reduce the reliance on other AI platforms. The successful integration of Gemini with YouTube can help the video platform gain a significant competitive edge over rivals. YouTube introduced a similar AI-powered inspiration tool for creators earlier this year. The tool gave creators ideas on ideas and outlines to jump-start the creative process.
The latest experiment will also help Google determine whether integrating Gemini with YouTube is sufficient, whether a separate AI tool is required, or whether a combination of both works best. By helping the creator community find better ideas, YouTube can establish a leadership position in the independent video streaming landscape.
