The all-new One UI 7 from Samsung is finally on the runway. S series users will be the first to experience it!
Samsung has confirmed that its highly anticipated One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S series is hitting the shelves very soon. The tech giant has said that the stable version of the update will begin rolling out to compatible Galaxy S devices shortly. However, the full rollout is expected to be completed by Q1 of 2025.
The development of One UI 7 included a comprehensive beta testing phase, which Samsung describes as their most successful to date.
'One UI 7' began its open beta testing in major countries at home and abroad on December 5th, and the first beta recruitment closed early, more than twice as fast as the previous One UI 6.

The One UI 7 update is ready to introduce a host of new features and improvements to the Galaxy S series. This includes a more refined user interface, better performance, and enhanced security.
Samsung has been actively testing the update, addressing bugs, and ensuring compatibility with a range of apps and services ahead of the official launch.
Samsung has specifically mentioned that the update will be available for devices starting from the Galaxy S21 series, covering the Galaxy S22, S23, and beyond. Other users can expect an over-the-air update notification once it’s ready for their device.
Samsung Electronics plans to supplement user feedback obtained through the beta program and install 'One UI 7' starting with the Galaxy S series to be released in the first quarter, and then sequentially apply it to existing Galaxy devices thereafter.

While all the details about the new UI will be revealed in the Samsung Unpacked event in Korea today, here are some of the most talked about updates the new UI will come with:
Now Bar: A new feature designed to display live activities directly on the lock screen, providing users with real-time information at a glance.
Writing Assist: An advanced tool that offers text summarization, spell and grammar checks, and automatic note formatting, streamlining the writing process for users.
Personal Data Engine: Integrated with Samsung's Knox Vault, this feature ensures that users' private information is securely stored when utilizing on-device AI services.
Although the exact date for the rollout has yet to be specified, Samsung has made it clear that the update will be available imminently. Thus signaling that the wait for users with eligible devices is almost over.
One UI 7 is set to bring a wave of enhancements aligned with the latest mobile UI trends. From features like Writing Assist to privacy-focused additions such as the Personal Data Engine, the update is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most refined releases. With the Galaxy S25 series leading the charge, existing Galaxy S users can expect the update to arrive soon, bringing a more intuitive and secure experience.
