Apple Will Launch iOS 18 On Sep 16th And AI Next Month

Date: September 10, 2024

Apple has confirmed that the much-awaited iOS 18 will officially launch for free across the iPhone 16 Series on September 16, 2024.

Apple has finally confirmed the date of the iOS 18 launch, setting it to September 16th, 2024. While the world is counting down the remaining days, many of the anticipated features will appear either next month or much later. iOS 18 stable version will arrive to all new iPhone 16 Series devices and iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max devices on the 16th.

But, the hero that hyped the launch of iOS 18, Apple Intelligence, will begin rolling out next month with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. Apple Intelligence helped make a notable distinction between the earlier releases and the latest iOS 18 launch. But with only basic AI features rolling out with the launch,

“Apple Intelligence comes to iPhone, iPad, and Mac starting next month,” said the headline of Apple’s official release note, which was published today.

Some of the AI features lined up for next month include helpful writing tools, mail and notifications summaries, a more natural and flexible Siri, and the cleanup tool in photos, among others.

“*Apple Intelligence will be available in beta on all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with Siri and device language set to US English, as an iOS 18 update later this year. Some features and support for additional languages, including Indian English, French, Japanese and Spanish, will be coming over the course of the next year,” said Apple in an Email communication sent to all its consumers.

The default language during the AI features launch will be set to English US, which users can change according to their preferences. Many artificial intelligence features will be rolled out initially in Beta form, meaning that stable version users will have to wait a bit longer. The official blog describes each new AI feature in iOS 18 in detail, providing confidence to users on the future outlook of investing in the newer iPhone models and Apple Watch Ultra series.
