These images, labeled "Imagined for You," are part of Instagram's "Imagine" feature, which uses generative AI to create personalized content.
This feature aims to make users the shining stars of their own stories by generating images based on their selfies. However, some users find this practice invasive and disturbing, especially when their likeness appears in unexpected or "nightmarish" situations.
