In response to the increasing demand for advanced telematics data analytics, United Rentals engaged us to design a data architecture for the ingestion, storage, and processing of large datasets collected from rental equipment. Understanding United Rentals' objectives, we undertook a mission to help them choose a Cloud-based, future-ready system with a flexible and extensible architecture to support future growth.
We developed a strategy combining the strengths of IoT and Cloud capabilities, leveraging AWS-powered Snowflake and PTC ThingWorx data platforms to realize United Rentals' vision. Snowflake provided access to a Cloud-Native enterprise analytic database with advanced functionality, while ThingWorx equipped United Rentals with powerful tools and technologies for the rapid development and deployment of IoT solutions.
The solution delivered tailored Operation Improvement Capabilities for diverse equipment types, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. United Rentals is now well-prepared for sustained growth and improved customer satisfaction.
