Huma is a remote patient monitoring platform that improves connected care for patients and speeds up research and therapies.
Challenge
Clinicians use the platform's modules and features to configure patient care plans. Real-time data visualization helps clinicians monitor patients, and targeted educational content empowers patients to manage their health. For healthcare professionals, the platform provides a web-based portal with real-time patient data, threshold-based flagging, trend visualization, and telemedicine.
Solutions
Developed the UX for the app which results in more intuitive adherence to medication and treatment plans and sustained usage of the Huma app over time.
Contributed to the AI-powered Diagnostics algorithms serving to analyze medical imaging, lab results, and patient data for more accurate and efficient diagnosing.
Built the electronic health record (EHR) for management of patient records, allowing for secure storage, retrieval, and sharing of health information among healthcare providers.
Using Blockchain technology we provided a secure and transparent way to store and share healthcare data, ensuring privacy, integrity, and interoperability of health records.
Worked on improving patient onboarding to reduce a number of steps required for patient access, thus, implemented SMS onboarding and dynamic deep linking.
Introduced the patient traceability feature by presenting prior patients' health records as a detailed chart and a possibility to leave a "Resolve flags" note for nurses.
Implemented the History of Notes feature for clinicians to compare previous notes with the current data across various modules, facilitating better decision-making and patient care.
To address the requirement for US customers regarding billing based on the time clinicians spend monitoring patients, a time tracking overlay feature was introduced.
Impact
Simplified the billing process for clinics, ensuring accurate tracking of clinician monitoring time, saving time and reducing the potential for errors, allowing clinicians to focus on providing quality patient care rather than performing administrative tasks.
3000+ hospitals and clinics supported across Huma platforms to secure the most sustainable impact for patients.
The platform can almost double clinical capacity and reduce readmission rates by >30%.
Huma's digital-first health platforms support a network of 27m patients.
Over 1 million devices have been shipped in support of their projects and they know what it takes to deploy at scale.
